Community Support services

Through Community Living (Residential Services), our caregivers support individuals with daily activities, helping them maintain familiar routines and a sense of independence. Care is provided flexibly based on individual needs, ensuring each person receives the right level of assistance. Living in a comfortable, home-like environment surrounded by familiar belongings and a supportive community, individuals are empowered to continue their daily activities and enjoy a safe, fulfilling life.

Staff Training Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Complete pre-service and in-service training aligned with the Person-Centered Plan (PCP)
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and auto insurance (as required)
  • Hold current certifications and training required by the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA), including:

    • First Aid & CPR
    • Certified Medication Technician (CMT) (Maryland Board of Nursing)
    • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (if required)
    • MANDT Certification
    • DDA-specific training, refreshers, and updates

  • Staff training is continuous, ensuring compliance with up-to-date regulations and best practices. All training records are maintained for accountability and transparency
